“Africa is back!”. This is what the President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo told to stress how, despite all difficulties, the Continent came back to the fore thanks to initiative of a small group of African Heads of State and Government who were determined to take ocntrol of their future. This book is an interview with Olusegun Obasanjo, one of the protagonists of the African change and, above all, of the development of his country, Nigeria, a giant with 150 million inhabitants, first oil-producing country in Africa, difficult to rule with its 36 States and its ethnic and religious tensions but rich in huge potentials. The Nigerian President met Alberto Michelini many times on the occasion of the G8 Summits and the UN General Assemblies in New York as well as in the federal capital city. During the interview he answers all the questions in a frank and thorough way without avoiding sensitive subjects like the one of the third presidential mandate for which people said he would run despite the maximum of two mandates provided for by law. The following text, with the annexed documentation, helps clarifying the idea of a positively evolving Africa told by one of its most important protagonists.
